Planned by Taiwanese architect Prof. Yuen-chen Yu and constructed in 1975, the space design is based on northern Chinese royal style of engineering and finishing, especially during the Sung dynasty time frame. The ‘Bai Hong Qiao’ bridge, for example, follows the style of the 17-Arch Bridge at the Summer Palace in Beijing. Different features includes a Bonsai Garden, which houses an assortment of over a hundred delightfully manicured bonsais imported from China, Japan and neighboring nations like Malaysia.
