1.The zoo and the animals
Singapore’s Night Safari is an open air zoo that is open to public only in the night.
Night Safari Singapore is one of the main tourist destinations. This park is just next to Singapore Zoo. The Night Safari opened on May 26, 1994. The Night Safari is home to as many as 1040 creatures of near 120 distinct species. Practically 29% of the creatures are from the endangered category. Some of the animals which you can find at zoo are Indian rhinoceros, lions, cheetahs, wild hogs and various assortments of snakes and different reptiles.
2.Tram through the park
One of the primary attractions at the Night Safari Singapore is the tram ride through the dense shrubbery. The Park is separated into areas, for example, the Himalayan Foothills, Nepalese River Valley, Indian Subcontinent and Equatorial Africa among others. These areas feature animals explicit to the regions as in real. Every region has vegetation and scene as the original. Which makes the zone best for the creatures as well as for visitors. The tram ride starts from the Himalayan Foothills and ends with the Asian Riverine Region.
3.Walk the way
A safari is incomplete without walking trails through the forest. Night Safari Singapore doesn’t disappoint here either. It offers four interlinked trials. The Leopard Trail brings you face-to-face with the spotted feline while it indulges in its daily activities such hunting.
The Fishing Cats Trail is another enthralling one. While on this trial you will surprised by hunting activities of the Fishing Cats. Be sure to keep an eye for pangolins, Indian gharials and the Malayan flying fox, the largest bats in the world.
The Forest Giants Trail, as the name suggests, takes the visitors to the forest giants, some of which have been around for several years. This trails focuses on the flora of the region with emphasis on the native plants.
The East Lodge Safari spans over the Equatorial African region and the Indo-Malayan region. Spotted hyenas, bongos, babirusas and last but not the least, the Malayan tigers make this trail totally worthwhile.
4. Others
The 20-minute Creatures of the Night show, held 3-4 times daily. It is a significant hit among children. One of the features of the Night Safari Singapore is a walk around the natural bat enclosure, where you may see face to face a large fruit bat, hanging upside down inches from your face. No flash photography is permitted in the park.
