The name of the Pangkor island originates from the Thai ‘Pang Ko’, which implies Beautiful Island. It is made up of group of islands with Pangkor as its principle island. And beside that a trio of small islands: Pangkor Laut, Pulau Mentagor en Pulau Giam. Pangkor Laut is the most popular for these, because of the resort you can discover on this little island. Pangkor is an island of hills; the most elevated point is at 1216 meters which is Pangkor Hill. Since the primary island comprises of just mountains, the roads are in circular pattern around the island.
