What changes when a DMC adds Bali to Singapore and Malaysia

Singapore and Malaysia join up by road. Bali doesn’t. Add it and the trip gains a flight, a third set of entry rules, a provincial levy, another rainy season and small MPVs instead of coaches. A Singapore, Malaysia and Bali DMC has to own each of those, because they slip when three suppliers each assume someone else has them.

We cost hotels, transfers, tours and tickets in all three as one programme, with the flights as fixed points: one quote and one operations contact.

Which end of the trip Bali goes on

Decide it from the flight home. If your market has a usable flight out of Denpasar, put Bali last and end on the beach. If the flights home connect through Singapore or Kuala Lumpur anyway, put Bali first. Either way, ticket in at one end and out at the other.

The Bali flight day, step by step

We don’t sell sightseeing on the Bali flight day. This is how it runs from Kuala Lumpur; from Changi it is the same.

  1. Three days out. Every traveller files the free All Indonesia form. The group leader keeps the QR codes, e-VoA PDFs and levy receipts in one folder.
  2. Hotel to KLIA. KLIA has two terminals. Put flight numbers on the rooming list and our driver drops at the right one.
  3. In the air. About three hours from KLIA, two and three-quarter hours from Changi. No clock change.
  4. Denpasar immigration. Passports with an e-VoA or visa-free entry go straight to the desks. Anyone buying the visa on arrival queues first at the bank counter, the queue to avoid with a group.
  5. Meet and load. Our driver waits with a name board and a flower garland for each guest. A car takes three guests with bags, so twelve people leave in four cars. Tell the group, or they will look for a coach.
  6. To the hotel. Our Bali tariff has five zones. Kuta is the first; Ubud, Canggu and Uluwatu the third; Kintamani and Munduk the fifth. After a midday departure from KLIA, expect a south-coast hotel by late afternoon.

Vehicles by group size, country by country

Singapore can put forty people on one coach. In Bali we move groups in Toyota Avanza or Daihatsu Xenia MPVs, several at a time. This is how we allocate airport transfers.

6 guestsOne van10-seat vanTwo cars
12 guests24-seat coachVan for up to 13Four cars
25 guests45-seat coachTwo vansFive cars on touring days. For the airport with bags, we confirm per group

Bags decide the vehicle as often as heads, so send the luggage count with the rooming list. On Bali touring days a car takes five guests, for six or twelve hours with a driver; parking and entrance fees are extra. In Kuala Lumpur, airport transfers can stop at Batu Caves on the way to Genting.

Visas and forms, in the order you need them

This follows the Bali-last routing; reverse it if Bali comes first. Nationalities named are examples only. For the full list by passport, see our passport table for these three countries.

ItemThe ruleWhen
Singapore visaNot needed for many passports. Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi passports, for example, need one, through an authorised visa agent or a Singapore local contactBefore leaving home
SG Arrival CardFree on ICA’s website, in the 3 days up to and including the arrival dayThe three days before Changi
MDAC (Malaysia)Within 3 days before arrival. Singapore citizens exempt. Example: Indian passports are visa-free for up to 30 days until 31 December 2026, with no extension announced on 1 NovemberWhile still in Singapore
Bali visaVisa on arrival or e-VoA for 97 countries and territories, India, the UAE, the UK and Australia among them: IDR 500,000, 30 days, extendable once. Needs six months’ passport validity and an onward ticket. ASEAN passports enter visa-free for 30 days, not extendableBefore the trip; the e-VoA is issued within 24 hours
All IndonesiaFree; opens 3 days before arrival and replaces the separate immigration, customs, health and quarantine declarations. Mandatory at Denpasar since 1 September 2025While in Kuala Lumpur
Bali levyIDR 150,000 per foreign tourist, once per visit, through Love BaliBefore the Bali flight

Two things to watch. In August 2026 Indonesia’s immigration chief proposed raising the visa-on-arrival fee to IDR 750,000 online and IDR 1 million at the airport, with no start date, so we recheck it at quoting. And since 30 January 2026 ICA can instruct airlines to refuse boarding to anyone who fails Singapore’s entry requirements, so on the couples routing a visa problem surfaces at check-in in Denpasar. See our Singapore arrival rules for tour groups.

2027 dates that hit all three countries

BMKG, Indonesia’s weather agency, expects most of Bali to enter the 2026/27 rainy season in December and peak in February 2027, so give each Bali day an indoor option. Three holiday clusters land in the same weeks in all three countries; Islamic dates can still move a day after the moon sighting.

Nyepi, Monday 8 March 2027. For Nyepi 2026 the Bali authorities stopped all land, sea and air transport for 24 hours from 6am, told residents and visitors not to go out, and asked mobile operators to switch off mobile data; 440 scheduled flights didn’t operate. Expect the same in 2027. Land by Sunday 7 March and make the 8th a hotel day, or arrive from Tuesday 9 March. Indonesia’s Idul Fitri holidays then run to Monday 15 March, so hold that week’s flights and rooms early.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you run SIC transfers in Bali or Kuala Lumpur?

No. Singapore is the only one of the three with seat-in-coach transfers, from Changi to central hotels and to the main attractions. In Kuala Lumpur and Bali every transfer is private.

Which passports need a visa before flying to Bali?

Any passport on neither of Indonesia’s lists, visa on arrival or visa-free. Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan and Nepali passports, for example, need a visa issued before the flight. Settle that before quoting Bali.

Is the Bali levy included in the visa on arrival?

No. The visa fee goes to immigration. The levy is a separate provincial charge of IDR 150,000, paid once per visit through Love Bali.

How many nights should Bali get?

Four at least, because the flight day is mostly gone. Give it five if the clients want Ubud and the beach, and move them between hotels rather than running Ubud as a long day trip from the coast.

For each destination on its own, see Singapore DMC, Malaysia DMC and Bali DMC. The road crossing from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is the same as on our Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand circuit, which covers the checkpoints. Clients who want their beach in Malaysia can swap Bali for Langkawi. To book single components yourself at net rates, use our B2B travel portal.
